Biography

Jamal Majid Bin Theniyah became chairman of Emaar Properties in December 2020, when Mohamed Alabbar stepped down as chairman; he had been vice chairman before that. He joined Port Rashid Authority in October 1981, became assistant managing director of Dubai Ports Authority in 1991 and its managing director in 2001. He is a non-executive director and vice chairman of DP World and chief executive director of Port & Free Zone World, the holding company of DP World, Economic Zones World and P&O Ferries, and has been an independent director of Etihad Rail since September 2009. His education and net worth were not stated in the sources reviewed.
