Dubai Chamber of Commerce has entered into a strategic partnership with Dubai Community Contributions Establishment (JOOD) to enhance support for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) focused on sustainability and social impact.

The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to channel private-sector and community funding toward purpose-driven ventures. JOOD’s digital platform is designed to manage and distribute contributions under structured governance and compliance standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Supporting Impact-Driven Businesses

According to Dubai Chambers, the agreement aims to strengthen Dubai’s social entrepreneurship landscape by connecting high-impact projects with financial and institutional support.

The initiative aligns with the emirate’s broader economic diversification goals and its push to promote responsible and sustainable business practices.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said the partnership will help create an integrated framework that supports entrepreneurs seeking to generate measurable social and environmental value.

She noted that fostering such ventures reinforces Dubai’s positioning as a global centre for forward-looking and responsible enterprise.

Marwan Rashed BinHashim, CEO of JOOD, stated that the platform is structured to provide transparent and trusted funding channels that empower entrepreneurs to scale projects addressing real community needs.

Alignment with Dubai Economic Agenda (D33)

The agreement supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade.

By encouraging collaboration between public institutions, private companies, and community stakeholders, the initiative aims to accelerate innovation and expand opportunities for impact-driven enterprises.

Under the MoU, both parties will cooperate on awareness campaigns, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and knowledge exchange efforts to mobilise resources and strengthen transparency across supported projects.

The move reflects Dubai’s broader strategy of combining economic growth with sustainability and community development through structured public-private collaboration.
